This web site, and the Ohio Ornithological Society, would not have
been possible without the help of some very special people. Thank You!

Support Our Work
We believe that by sharing our enthusiasm and knowledge we can preserve Ohio’s heritage of wild birds for generations to come. There are many ways you can help:
Become a Member
The Ohio Ornithological Society welcomes anyone with an interest in birds or natural history as a member. Your membership dues will help to keep our organization afloat and enable us to produce our publications, programs, and events. We hope you will show your support by joining OOS.
Members receive quarterly issues of The Ohio Cardinal journal and of The Cerulean newsletter, reduced rates on member field trips and birding events, and the opportunity to participate in and vote at the annual meeting and birding conference.
Volunteer
We are a young, volunteer-operated organization. We welcome the assistance of other people across the state for help in operating and increasing the effectiveness of our organization.
There are many ways to help. Volunteer opportunities range from simple to complex and from brief to involved. You pick what level you’re comfortable with. For example, you could spend less than an hour distributing OOS flyers at your local bird club, nature centers, or bird store, or you could assist with the development and operation of our website.

Make a Donation
Like most non-profit organizations, we will occasionally seek funds beyond the membership dues to help the organization grow and prosper or fund new initiatives. If you are interested in making a contribution to help support OOS at this crucial time in its infancy, please contact a board member or use the appropriate line our membership form.
We are also open to donations of field guides, binoculars, bird art, and other items that may be sold at auction for fund-raising purposes. Please contact a board member and describe the items that you wish to donate.
Sponsor an Event
The OOS openly seeks partnerships and cooperative activities with other bird clubs, non-profits, and the Ohio business community (particularly in the birding and travel industries).
Currently, we are seeking corporate sponsors for the First Annual Ohio Ornithological Society Meeting to be held at a prime Ohio birding location in
Spring, 2005.
If you are interested in collaborating on an event with the Ohio Ornithological Society, please contact a board member with your interests.
