Welcome
Thank you for your interest in the Ohio Breeding Bird Atlas II. This effort relies on the participation of bird enthusiasts to document the current distribution of breeding birds in Ohio. The Atlas provides an opportunity for participants to learn about birds in Ohio, while contributing valuable information needed for their conservation. Whether you want to venture into remote parts of Ohio or survey birds closer to home, there are many ways to contribute. Please note that internet access is NOT REQUIRED to participate.

Start your 2010 Atlas efforts today!
Start your atlasing season now, and get some early season birding in! We need records of Great Horned Owls and Barred Owls; any records of these owls can now be added to the Atlas! And don’t forget, American Woodcock are just around the corner!
Submit Your Atlas Data NOW!!
NOTE: We are currently undertaking an extensive review of Atlas data that will continue through winter 2010. Please submit your field data (old and new) by February 28, 2010. Your data may be submitted online or mailed to us. If you've been holding onto data, please submit as soon as possible or mail to us given our need to plan for 2010. Not informing others about where you have been collecting bird data can lead to duplication of effort. If you have questions about data or data entry, please contact us by Email: ohiobba2@gmail.com or consult the data entry tutorial. Thanks to those who have already submitted 2009 data!
