OBBA2 Priority Blocks Need Your Help!
These lists indicate the current status of all OBBA II priority blocks (as of 5 July 2010). Priority blocks in OBBA II are the same 764 blocks that were surveyed during the first Ohio Breeding Bird Atlas (1982-1987; see figure at right). Our survey efforts within these blocks are important because this will affect the comparability of the two atlases. The blocks in each of the three lists have been sorted by Block ID, County, and Amount of Survey Coverage.
If you are interested in recording breeding birds in these priority blocks, please submit your data promptly online or send to us. We need to know that actual status of all priority blocks as soon as possible so that we can plan for completing these blocks. Finally, if you collect bird data in any of the priority blocks, think about visiting nearby non-priority blocks in need of coverage. Thanks for your efforts!
