Season Wrap-up

As many of our breeding birds have packed up and headed south for the winter, we here at OBBA II headquarters are just starting to sort through all the data collected this past summer. There are LOTS of observations to sort through, but that is good news, and we have you all to thank! This last season of the OBBA II was a huge success. Over 100,000 records have been added so far this year to our database, and we couldn’t have done it without volunteers like you. So thank you again for all of your hard work!

So what happens now? We are busy organizing and processing all of the data so that soon we can begin the data analyses that will eventually be a part of the Atlas book! Of course, in order to do this, we need to have all data entered. How can you help? Please make sure that all of your data is entered by OCTOBER 31st !!! This includes any checklists you have from previous years. There are of course a few species, like Great Horned Owls, that we expect to add some new records for this December, so we will wait to complete those analyses, but all other data should be in this month!

Please make your hard work count by entering your data ASAP!

As always, we are happy to enter the data for you if you are unable to enter it by October 31st. Just make photocopies of all of your checklists and send one set to us, or scan and email it to us. If you can, call or email us to let us know we should be receiving it. We don’t want any data to be lost!
