The Ohio Breeding Bird Atlas II uses an atlasing application developed by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. With this online tool, you can view all atlas blocks in the state, their availability, and a variety of other useful block statistics. Also, you can now access detailed block maps (pdf) in topographic and aerial photo versions.

The block finder tool is also still available and is a great way to quickly view all atlas blocks. Click on any number from the gazetteer base map to view a block grid with all Atlas blocks for that particular DeLorme Gazetteer page. You can click on any block to view a larger map of your block of interest. Take note of the title at the top of each of these more detailed block maps. Each block title includes all of the ID information that you will need when registering to own a block.

Click on the "Large Map" button to view an enlarged map of the block. These enlarged maps can be printed for future use. In addition, you can click on the tool buttons in the upper right corner of the block map to view a road map, satellite image, or a 'hybrid' of the two!!! The navigation tool bar on the left will allow you to zoom in and zoom out and will also allow you to pan across the map. HINT: zooming in will increase the road detail of your map.

Please feel free to contact us by phone (614-247-6458) or email (ohiobba2@gmail.com) if you have any questions concerning block registration or block map printing.
